Scholarships and Education
The Ohio Farmers Union has a long history of offering educational programs across Ohio. These have included summer camps for children, farm tours for members, information on farming and environmental management, internships, and scholarships.
OFU & NFU College Scholarships and OFU Self-Guided Farm Safety Refresher are part of these educational efforts.
Scholarships

Stanley Moore National Scholarships
Each year, three $1,500 scholarships are awarded. High school seniors, college students or nontraditional students seeking funding to attend a two or four-year accredited college or university or technical school for any area of study. Must be a Farmers Union member.

Hubert K. and JoAnn Seymour Scholarship
Each year, one $2,000 scholarship is awarded. Open to all graduating high school seniors who are continuing their education in either a two-year or four-year accredited college or university or technical school for any area of study. Must be a Farmers Union member.
Farm Safety
Participating Ohio Farmers Union members receive a discount on Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation rates and services when they join the OFU’s Sedgwick Workers Compensation Program.
Ag Safety Training Aids from the Ohio State Extension Office
OFU provides self-directed safety training materials for your employees.
We encourage you to use these resources to enhance farm safety.
Farm Safety Videos from the National Farmers Union
If you have kids, grandkids, or seasonal workers coming to your farm, these videos can help keep them safe. You just need a computer, internet, and five minutes for each video.
