Welcome to the Ohio Farmers Union, Ohio’s membership group advocating for family farmers, rural residents, and consumers. Since 1934, we’ve championed working families and local economies, especially after the 2008 Financial Crisis and Great Recession. We ensure small farms have a strong voice in Columbus at the State House.

Beyond legislative advocacy and education, we support cooperative businesses and farm families through local chapters and five regional groups.

Our membership benefits rural and urban Ohioans alike, connecting family farmers with farmers markets and restaurants, and promoting fair agriculture free from mega-producer dominance.
